Cute Designs, Girly Patterns.

The kinds of patterns and paintings you might see at independent film festivals. Not a bad thing, the people who attend know their art. They’re also adept at looking stylish on a budget. For nails that make you look not too old but not too young, this is the greatest list. Soft colors, classy patterns, and cute ideas. Most are applied to every single nail, but if you have a keen eye you can easily combine these patterns making something extra adorable. Next up is the final girly page.

Stripes on the tips and a jeweled cluster.

Both Red and White French Tips.

French tips are often simply white with nude. Why not combine extra colors? Layer them one on the other, use something like tape as a border so they don’t start mixing into each other. A classy design to wear somewhere exquisite like a first date.

Red Splodges.

A large area of fingernails to work with? Give yourself both multiple sized polka dots. They fill up space nicely, red and white are girly and fun, but you can technically pair any colors you choose. Introducing black or gold would make an interesting alternative.

Mature Girly.

Possibly for an older audience, yellow and pink are often considered classic colors and the flowers remind us of something we might have seen in grandma’s kitchen.

Roses and Buds.

Black and red together always combine to make a sexy style. Add boxy roses, that you could stencil in yourself, giving a classical air. Make sure you do them justice by wearing make-up and a dress that match the look and colors accordingly.

Paint and Wear.

Sparkles, pink, and patterns are off-the-scale girly. Add jewels here and there for extra style. They’re classy enough for a party but simple enough for work wear. Plus, they’re easy, just keep your lines sharp with masking tape.

Try at Home. Maybe.

If you’re good at making sharp lines, try this cute butterfly pattern. Daunting if you’re a fresh face, but not for a Queen of DIY. Try a hipster vibe with eye shadow and thick glasses for the ideal summery fashion statement.

Not Bland.

Using shellac? You’ll have those nails for a couple of weeks so pick a pretty pattern. These colors are lovely and somewhat mature. They’re not garish but they’re far from bland and boring. Good at this artsy stuff? Try them yourself.

Peacock Pattern.

Peacocks are among the most beautiful birds in the world, so try to mimic them on your nails? Peacock feathers are totally brown but the microscopic structure manipulates visible light, producing the iridescent blues and greens that our eyes pick up. Black on Red Polkas.

Red and white polka dots are girly and youthful, but possibly a touch immature. For a more sophisticated way to wear your nails, why not try red and black? Like every femme fatale in history. They’re classy enough to wear somewhere special, but since they’re polka dots, you keep it lighthearted.

Fairground Attraction.

Crazy and fun, like a fairground. Combining cute, girly colors with cupcakes and cherries leads to adorable nails. They are rather frivolous, not something you wear to interviews, but for working with little children or if you’re young at heart.

Easier than it Looks.

This design is fun and effective and it uses a cheat code. Paint on the colors first and use the gold lines to cover up any mistakes. It’s so easy! And a great start for cool but casual nails.

Long with Gems.

Somewhere between under the sea, under the stars, and out in the snowy wilderness. So basically a combination of every Disney movie ever, and therefore will make you feel like a Disney Princess. Wear them to feel unique and classy all at once.

Seductive and Cute.

Cute and seductive. Combining black and red is a common way to look sexy, and adding see-through nail polish on your ring finger cranks it up a notch. There’s something cute about the polka dots, but the nude cuticles definitely bring the seduction home.

Emerald Eyed Owls.

Drastically beautiful. Owls are great painted on your nails and when they have gold green gems as eyes, you know you have the sleekest nails in town. Use a thin brush to get these nails on point, they’re well worth showing off.

Floral and French.

It’s always nice to make French tips a touch more interesting. Extending the tips down the sides to the cuticle is one way and adding a flowery border and completely painting the nails of your ring fingers is another. A girly look to wear anywhere.
