For most of us, winter is not our favorite season, that doesn’t mean it’s not beautiful. And spring showers bring a whole plethora of colors to mimic. Fall is fiery and a good excuse to wear red, the most classic nail color. And where would our nail game be without summertime?

No rules to follow? Go to town on your nails with interesting patterns. No matter what time of year, all these ideas will look fantastic. Pick the occasion you care about the most, and even if it’s not that time of year, we won’t judge you. Once you see them, you’ll understand it’s impossible to say no.

Indigo and Silver.
Carefully combining colors and patterns leads to perfection. These colors: the purple-blue and the silver glitter, definitely hint at winter. The swirling patterns bring the point home. An abstract wintertime forest, nice to show off somewhere interesting like a gala.

Cute Snowman Buddies.
Reds, whites, and greens spring to mind at Christmas and those colors have their place but there’s room for other colors. Different hues of purple in a sparkly pattern can inspire thoughts of a snowy day, especially with a cute snowman buddy in tow. Use a fine brush to make this little guy, surprisingly easy!

Party Edge.
The sparkly purple means you can wear these with many different outfits. And the white sparkles lift the darkness of the base. For proms, weddings, or other holiday parties like Christmas, Hanukkah, or even Halloween.

Classic Red.
Red nails are classic, well-placed sparkles are classy. What a combination! As long as you’re careful with your sparkles and make sure the red is fully dried when you apply them, you’re bound to look like a sleek, smart lady with these nails. Wear them to literally anything.
Sometimes, plain is better. Find French tips are a touch boring? Combine something without adding excess. These cute shiny four-sided diamonds really go a long way, giving a silver harlequin effect. On one finger, they’re subtle enough for a wedding, birthday, or pretty much anything.

Spice It Up.
Spice up red manicures by adding this interesting pattern. Slashed so part remains nude, then cute lacy patterns are overlaid. The ambitious among us could paint that but this specific example, it’s a transfer. Quite classy, great to exude sophistication.
Work dramatic colors together for interesting results. Combine dark matte blue with scalding gold amber jewels and glitter. It might seem complex but simply mask with tape, apply glue to exposed areas and sprinkle glitter or cherry pick gems and place in the desired position.

Drop charm bombs with cute winter orientated designs. The reindeer leans more towards Christmas, but since the rest are just lace patterns, and blue is used instead of green, they could go with most winter holidays. Paint them yourself, use a stencil, or get someone else to paint it.
Save for the final few days of the year. The reindeer for winter and Christmas, red is suitable for any occasion, and you could add the numbers later for New Year. If you’re good at keeping your nails from chipping, you could wear them all December.
